Crucible Materials
Crucibles are important containers for scientific experiments and industrial production. It is a pot that is used to hold liquids or solids for high-temperature heating. In the electron beam evaporation process, it can be used to place the evaporation material; in the metal industry, it is also used as a container for smelting metal.
The materials commonly used to make crucibles are tungsten, molybdenum, zirconium, tantalum, oxygen-free copper, graphite, boron nitride and other metals, and some crucibles are equipped with corresponding lids. Different materials have different characteristics, and the material and specifications of the crucible should be selected for materials with different melting points.
1.Tungsten crucible: it has a high melting point and is often used in oxide materials and metal materials.
2.Molybdenum crucible: it has the characteristics of high tensile strength and high melting point, and is often used in oxide materials and metal materials.
3.Zirconium crucible: it has strong corrosion resistance and is mainly used as refractory material and opacifier, and a small amount is used as alloying agent.
4.Oxygen-free copper crucible: it has high thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity and high purity.
5.Graphite crucible: it has strong acid resistance, fire resistance, good electrical and thermal conductivity.
6.Boron nitride crucible: the hardness is second only to that of diamond, but its high temperature resistance is better than that of diamond. The structure of hexagonal boron nitride is similar to graphite, which makes it an insulator with the best thermal conductivity.
