Instead, it concentrates electrical energy onto the welding contact point through high current density and pressure, generating instantaneous high temperatures to achieve a metallurgical bond between metals.
Compared to traditional copper electrode, tungsten electrode features a higher melting point (approx. 3422°C), a lower coefficient of thermal expansion, and stronger resistance to high-temperature softening. Consequently, it is better suited for high-precision, high-frequency, and micro-spot welding applications.
